• Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship — Flagship Lottery Merit Aid
  Why It Slaps: The state’s main merit scholarship funded by the lottery, open to any Arkansas resident who files a FAFSA and meets ACT/SAT/GPA criteria. It stacks each year: pays $2K\→$4K\→$4K\→$5K for years 1–4 at a 4-year school (2-year track is $2K→$3K).   Why It Slaps: Honors Arkansas “heroes” by making college free for their families. If your parent or spouse was killed, disabled, or MIA in military service or died/disabled on duty as a law enforcement officer, firefighter, teacher, etc., this pays your in-state tuition, mandatory fees, and even on-campus room/board. • ACCESS to Acceleration (A2A) — Concurrent Enrollment Aid
  Why It Slaps: Bank college credits in high school at big savings. A2A replaces the old Concurrent Challenge program, paying $65 per credit hour (up to ~$2,000/year) for approved dual-credit courses. In practice, this means you can cover most of your tuition cost for college classes taken in 9th–12th grade.
