The Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award
The Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award selects and awards approximately 20 prospective college musicians aged 8-18 each year. From the Top awards award-winning, dedicated pre-collegiate musicians who need financial help to pay the prohibitive cost of learning classical music at a high level.

Have a Coke and a High School Scholarship Smile
Do you remember the Coca-Cola slogan to have a Coke and a smile? Recipients of the Coca-Cola Scholars Program scholarships are sure to be smiling for years to come. With 250 awards ranging from $10,000 ($2,500 per year for 4 years) to $20,000 ($5,000 per year for 4 years), it’s easy to see how smiles are being spread.
Coca Cola Scholars Program scholarships must be used at an accredited United States university or college. The program commenced in 1986 to contribute to the nation’s future. Selection is based on commitment, leadership, achievement and character inside and outside the classroom. The deadline date is October 31. High school seniors can apply online at the website between August 1 and October 31 at coca-colascholarsfoundation.org.
BURGER KING® Foundation
The BURGER KING® Foundation is the charitable arm of the BURGER KING system and is a non-profit charitable organization that currently operates the BURGER KING Scholars Program and the BK Family Fund.
The BURGER KING Scholars Program supports employees, their spouses or domestic partners, their children, and high school students in the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada to continue their education. To date, the program has awarded scholarships to more than 46,000 students, with $4.3 million in scholarships awarded to approximately 4,000 eligible students last year alone.

The Gates Millennium Scholars Program
The Gates Millennium Scholars (GMS) program awards scholarships to outstanding African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian Pacific Islander American, and Hispanic American students to provide a quality education. Offering the opportunity to complete an undergraduate college education in a field of interest, Gates Millennium Scholars may seek funding for a graduate degree program in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Education, Engineering, Library Science, Mathematics, Public Health, or Science. The National Merit® Scholarship Program
The National Merit® Scholarship Program is an academic conference for recognition and scholarship that began in 1955. Approximately 1.5 million high school students participate in the program each year.
High school students who meet the participation requirements are generally admitted to the National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the Preparatory SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®) at a designated time in the high school program.
Test registration is not individual, so interested students should talk to their counselor at the beginning of the school year and take the PSAT/NMSQT at school in the fall.
Short Essay – Gen and Kelly Tanabe Scholarship

HS Scholarships for Anyone
Can you win high school scholarships without doing anything special? If you’re busy, there’s still enough time to apply for the $2000 “No Essay” College Scholarship. Enter by the end of the month with the winner notified by around the 15th of the following month. Every month a new scholarship winner is chosen. Awards are used to cover tuition, board, meal plans, computers, books and education-related expenses. Most Valuable Students
Are you an stellar student with value? Check out the Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student contest. Applications are available online with 500 four-year scholarships to the applicants with the highest rating in the competition. Any high school senior who is a citizen of the United States is eligible to apply for this award. Applicants are judged on leadership, scholarship and financial need. Students with Great Need
Were you under-served as a high school student? Are you dependent on scholarships and financial aid to achieve your educational and career goals? You may qualify for the Dell Scholars Program if you participate in an approved AVID program. If you are determined to overcome barriers and succeed, funding is $20,000 for each Dell Scholar with 250 scholarships awarded. Applicants must graduate from an accredit high school this year with a minimum 2.4 GPA and US citizenship or permanent residency. Applicants must prove financial need, self-motivation and the ability to community hardships and ways to overcome. Applications are completed online. For all the details, visit dellscholars.org.
Key Club Members
Do you belong to your high school Key Club? You might qualify for one of the Key Club International scholarship programs. Applicants must be Key Club members in good standing for at least two years and a graduating senior with a GPA of at last “B” or 3.0 heading to higher education. Posters
Students with an artistic flair might want to consider the Christophers Annual High School Poster Contest for high school students. Students in grades 9 through 12 create a poster that visually interprets a designated theme. Eight winners are chosen with a $1,000 first prize, $500 second price, $250 third prize and honorable mentions of $100 each. Visionary Students
Can you imagine yourself attending college and making a difference in America? Since 1998, the Imagine America scholarship has helped thousands of students fund their college dreams. Each year every high school in the US and Puerto Rico can select up to three graduating seniors to receive the $1,000 Imagine America scholarship. Recent high school graduates should have financial need, voluntary community service during senior year and a GPA or 2.5 or greater with likelihood of successful completion of postsecondary education. Based on Merit
Since 1955, the National Merit Scholarship Program has helped high school students pay for higher education. High school students enter the program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, which also screens 1.5 million college entrants each year. To enter, students must be planning to enroll in full-time college no later than the fall following high school completion. Student applicants must be US citizens, lawful permanent residents or intend to become US citizens. Approximately 50,000 of 1.5 million entrants will quality with 15,000 finalists chosen. Semifinalists and finalists have the higher PSAT/NMSQT Selection Index scores and meet high academic standards. Finalists are notified in February by mail at their home addresses.
