For African-American high school students. ACT-SO currently includes 26 categories(Architecture, Biology/Microbiology, Chemistry/Biochemistry, Computer Science, Dance, Dramatics, Drawing, Earth and Space Sciences, Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Filmmaking, Mathematics, Medicine and Health, Music Composition, Music: Inst./Classical, Music: Inst./Contemp., Music: Vocal/Classical, Music: Vocal/Contemp., Oratory, Original Essay, Painting, Photography, Physics, Playwriting, Poetry, Sculpture) of competition in the sciences, humanities, business, and performing and visual arts.
Amount of Award: $500/bronze medal, $750/Silver medal and $1,000/gold medal
Application Deadline: b/t February and April for the local competitions and July for the finals

King Olav V Norwegian-American Heritage Fund
Open to Any American, 18 years of age or older, who has demonstrated a keen and sincere interest in the Norwegian heritage and/or any Norwegian, 18 years of age or older, who has demonstrated an interest in American heritage, and who now desires to further the study of their heritages at a recognized educational institution (arts, crafts, literature, history, music, folk-lore, etc.) is eligible to apply for a scholarship/grant.
