Dependents of Law Enforcement Officers

Are you considered a dependent of a law enforcement officer who was permanently disabled or killed in the line of duty? You may qualify for the Arkansas Law Enforcement Officers’ (LEO) Dependents Scholarship. This eight semester scholarship can be used at any Arkansas state supported university, technical institute or university. Dependent children must be 23 years old or younger and spouses cannot be remarried. Children of Deceased Service Members

Various scholarship amounts are awarded to students whose parents died in service to their community, state or nation. Recipients must be Arkansas students. The Arkansas Service Memorial Fund is based on leadership, academic merit and financial need. The Florence Wood/Arkansas Occupational Therapy Association Scholarship awards $500 annually to a health sciences undergraduate or graduate student attending a college in Arkansas. Actuarial Science Students

Are you interested in a career in casualty and actuarial science? If you want to break into this progressive field, you may qualify for a $2,000 award from the Casualty Actuaries of the Southeast Trust Scholarship Program. Students attending an Arkansas or certain other state colleges who are majoring in actuarial science are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Eligible students attend an approved United States or Canadian college, have top scholastic achievement, strong mathematical aptitude, interest in the casualty actuarial profession and outstanding communication skills. Applicants must have also sat for a minimum of one exam.
